New senior lawyers at Wikborg Rein

From 1 January 2010 the following have been appointed as senior lawyers at Wikborg Rein

The Oslo office 

Aksel Joachim Hageler (see CV)
Aksel Joachim Hageler is a senior lawyer based in Wikborg Rein's Oslo office. Through the Ruhrgas-scholarship he completed a master's degree in European law at the Humboldt University, Berlin. Aksel Joachim Hageler is working with Wikborg Rein's Natural Resources group, and his main areas of work are issues relating to EU and EEA law, competition law and Energy law.

Lars Berge Andersen (see CV)
Lars Berge Andersen is a senior lawyer based in Wikborg Rein's Oslo office. He is a part of the firm's Trade, Industry and Public Sector Group. Berge Andersen is the Head of the Wikborg Rein's China Desk. Berge Andersen was the Chief Representative of the firm’s Shanghai office from 2005-2008, where he assisted clients in China and Asia as such in relation to direct investments and M&A, especially the Scandinavian trade and industry enterprises within the technology, industry, shipping, oil and gas sectors. Berge Andersen comes recommended by Legal 500 Asia.
Berge Andersen has also previously worked at our London office. His main areas of practice are internationalization and outsourcing of Norwegian enterprises, as well as cross-border M&A and restructuring. Berge Andersen is also working within the media, entertainment, and technology industries concerning contractual, copyright and other intellectual property right issues. Berge Andersen is also experienced with maritime law, transport law and finance work within the maritime sector. 

Morten Hugo Berger (see CV)
Morten Hugo Berger is a senior lawyer based in the firm's Oslo office. He is a member of the Trade, Industry and Public Sector group, and his main areas of practice are issues relating to environmental law. Berger is also a member of our Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, and is extensively engaged in various proceedings before the Norwegian courts.

George Windecker (see CV)
Mr. Windecker works Of Counsel as a New York-qualified attorney in the Oslo office of Wikborg Rein with the Energy and Natural Resources Group. He specializes in cross-border project development and financing and has advised or represented companies, petroleum producers, project sponsors, international consortia, commercial banks, investment banks, and bilateral aid agencies during the development, sale, acquisition or financing of energy and other infrastructure projects located in many different countries. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Windecker had worked 15 years in Asia as a Vice President of international banking at Citibank.

Lars Hinze (see CV)
Lars Hinze is a senior lawyer based in the firm’s Oslo office. He is part of the Corporate group. Lars Hinze graduated from the University of Oslo.

Kristoffer Aasebø (see CV)
Kristoffer Aasebø is a senior lawyer based in the firm's Oslo office. Aasebø's areas of practice include transactions within urban business premises, planning- and building law, tenancy law, property law, administrative law and insolvency law. Aasebø has been involved in many major property transactions and due diligence of property portfolios as part of larger transactions. He also advises property owning companies on management and development of property portfolioes on a day-to-day basis. Aasebø concentrates his insolvency practice in the field of debt reorganization and out-of-court composition proceedings, and has been involved in restructuring a number of large property companies and companies in other business areas, as well as handling bankruptcy proceedings and advising creditor's, board members and share owners in the event of bankruptcy.

Christoffer Eriksen (see CV)
Christoffer Eriksen is a senior lawyer based in the firm’s Oslo office. He is part of the Trade, Industry and Public Sector group.

Eirik Thomassen (see CV)
Eirik Thomassen is a senior lawyer based in the Wikborg Rein's Oslo office. He is part of the firm's Shipping Offshore group. Thomassen works primarily with transportation issues and general maritime law in general as well as contract law for the firm's shipping offshore clients. As a member of Wikborg Rein's practice area litigation and dispute resolution, Thomassen appears in court regularly.
Thomassen has also been working with the firm's London and Kobe offices. Eirik Thomassen received his law degree from the University of Oslo. 

Oddbjørn Slinning (see CV)
Oddbjørn Slinning is a senior lawyer at Wikborg Rein's Oslo office. He is part of Wikborg Rein's Shipping/Offshore group. Slinning is mainly assisting clients with maritime law and insurance law, as well as other matters relating to international trade and shipping activities.
Slinning managed Wikborg Rein's office in Japan from 2005 to 2008, where he mainly assisted shipowners and insurers involved in maritime casualties in Asia, as well as shipowners and banks in connection with sale and purchase of vessels both in Japan and Korea. He has also worked for a period of time at Wikborg Rein's London office.



The Bergen office

Richard Bjerk (see CV)
Richard Bjerk is a senior lawyer based in the firm's Bergen office. His main areas of practice in Wikborg Rein are issues relating to shipping, fishery, financing and trade/industry.
Before he joined Wikborg Rein, Bjerk has been working at the Ministry of Justice, and in the American law firm Bartel, Eng & Co. in Sacramento. Furthermore, he has been working as Deputy Judge and in the legal department of Den norske Bank ASA. 

Torkjell Valland (see CV)
Torkjel Valland is a senior lawyer based in Wikborg Rein's Bergen office. He is part of the firm's Corporate group, and specialises on issues relating to acquisitions, mergers and restructuring.

Gøran Mjelde Aarvik (see CV)
Gøran Mjelde Aarvik is a senior lawyer based in Wikborg Rein's Bergen office. Aarvik works with Wikborg Rein’s Corporate group and Restructuring and bankruptcy group. Aarvik primarily works with company law, stock exchange and securities, and contract law, including assistance with various equity transactions, acquisitions, private placements, mergers, de-mergers and restructuring of companies. He received his law degree from the University of Bergen and has graduated in the special optional subject "Company Law". Aarvik has also experience from Norges Bank Investment Management where he has worked as Legal Adviser.

Kai Ove Roseth (see CV)
Kai Ove Roseth is a senior lawyer based in the firm's Bergen office. He is deputy head of the Wikborg Rein employment law division. He mainly assists large and medium-sized private and public enterprises in labour law issues in relation to recruitment and assignment of employees, business transfers, reorganisation/restructuring, outsourcing, workforce reductions and labour contracting.
Roseth has versatile experience with business law for Norwegian as well as foreign enterprises. He is experienced in mergers and acquisitions, but is also advising clients within general company law. In addition, Roseth is experienced within dispute resolution and legal procedure and is frequently arguing cases for Norwegian courts.
Roseth graduated from the University of Oslo, and has nine years experience from the police service. 

Sølvi Nyvoll Tangen (see CV)
Sølvi Nyvoll Tangen is a senior lawyer based in Wikborg Rein's Bergen office. She is part of the firm's Corporate group.

Terje Fiskerstrand (see CV)
Terje Fiskerstrand is a senior lawyer based in the firm's Bergen office. Fiskerstrand has been stationed in Wikborg Rein's London office for a period of time, and works mainly with tax law and maritime law.
