Per M. Ristvedt
Per M. Ristvedt is the firm's Managing Partner. He is based in the Oslo office. His main field of practice is litigation and dispute resolution, corporate finance, including stock exchange and securities legislation, contracts, real estate and matters relating to maritime law. Mr Ristvedt is considered as a "Highly recommended lawyer" by PLC Which Lawyer? Yearbook. Furthermore, recommended by both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500. In addition to achieving a Cand.jur. degree in 1991, Ristvedt has taken a specialisation exam at School of Law at the University of North Dakota, USA, completed the "Program of Instruction for Lawyers" (Negotiation and Mediation) at Harvard Law School, USA. In 2002 he was admitted to the Norwegian Supreme Court. He has served as Assistant Researcher and Lecturer at the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law at the University of Oslo 1990 – 1991, and as Deputy Judge in 1993.
Ristvedt joined Wikborg Rein in 1991, practising in Norway, and for three years in Japan, where he was head of Wikborg Rein's office in Kobe, as well as being the Norwegian Consul General for Kobe/Osaka. Ristvedt has been a partner since 2000, and has published several legal articles on various subjects. He has also written the book "The Lawyer as a Negotiator in civil disputes and commercial transactions" which was published in 2003 and "Alternative Dispute Resolution", which was published in 2008.
