Legal advice within the field of company law constitutes a significant part of Wikborg Rein's activities. Our expertise ranges from questions regarding Norwegian regulations in respect of business organisations and equity instruments to interpretation and clarification of problems arising out of new regulations. The firm has a dedicated Company Law group that is very active in this field and continuously contributes to the advancement of the firm's expertise in this area.

We offer counselling and preparation of documentation in connection with:

• incorporation and winding-up of companies
• capital increase, capital reduction, dividend payments and group contribution
• mergers and demergers, as well as acquisitions and sales of companies/ businesses
• group restructurings
• acquisitions of own shares
• new financial instruments
• legal position between shareholders and between shareholders and the company
• shareholders' agreements

The firm has assisted stock listed companies/ public limited companies, private limited companies, limited partnerships, as well as associations, foundations etc.

The group is headed by Sigurd Opedal, and Filip Truyen is the deputy head.
